Matisse for spring

With the first signs of spring last weekend, and the sunny days after, I’m in need for a mental spring boost to shake my autumn/winterly feeling off. Cleaning up my closet for a ‘clothing exchange’-party I’m attending this Friday is already a big help, but what always gives me a sunny mood are the colourful paintings by Henri Matisse (famous artist and sculptor, 1896 – 1954 France).

RAW Art Fair Rotterdam 2014

Yesterday I’ve been to the RAW Art Fair in the Cruise Terminal in Rotterdam. Unlike last year I decided to put my favourites directly on the blog, because afterwards it was too much of a search to connect the right artist to the right work. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to remember or find all the names this time, but that should not spoil the fun of radomly sharing these great works with you:
